Here's some of my latest work post-GDC. I'm looking for feedback on what seems useful from these experiments :)

Not sure if I understood what you were doing, but I feel like in the leaning section she should straighten up a bit after reaching maximum speed. So that she leans to get started and then straightens up. Like how segways work.

Good eyes :). Unfortunately, I need to go back and change the run animation; the poses in it are too hunched over, so she never quite straightens out while she's in her run state. She does straighten out as she reaches top speed (and lean back to stop), but I was changing directions too fast while running around to show it. A segway was exactly the way David Rosen described the movement style when he was giving his "programmatic animation" presentation that this lean-system is based on.

On the subject of what I was doing; mostly I just saw a lot of really cool different things at GDC and I wanted to see if I could do them. There aren't much greater designs to the stuff I showed other than that.

Any plans on releasing the noise scripts you have developed? I think they are really cool, could come in handy for lots of things!

Very cool. Would be awesome to see your noise script released in some form!

First use case I think of is fire but that's not terribly creative or interesting lol
