The Stand Alone Build runs at normal speed BUT ONLY IF the Unity Editor is Present in the background. What could be the cause of this? Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Running the build while also running the editor in the background 277 FPS

Running the build without the editor in the background 144FPS

What does this mean? What are your build settings?

BTW, please do not duplicate your threads. The other one would have been just as adequate to continue your discussion.

It means it's being launched as a build and not from inside the editor's play mode. I am launching it from a build on steam. I also tried launching it from the folder it was built to.

    Apologies.

Turn off autoconnect profiler. That means as soon as you fire up your build and you have an editor open, it tries to connect.

Also measure real performance with editor closed and non-development build. (If this is a performance measurement and not something other thing)
