"PC Quality Graphics" for next Android release

    Has anyone seen this information? I didn't see any info about it on this board.

    In future, Unity can support Geometry shaders and Adaptive Scalable Texture Compression (ASTC) with newer Android devices.

    Probably not. Mobile GPUs are getting lots of features but are still fairly limited when it comes to 'brute force' performance (fillrate, shader performance).

    And for real developers, you can't target only the highest-end devices, you've got to at least support mid-range devices too.

    Yeah, that's the first thing I think of when new things like this are announced... that the feature won't be playable on the mid-range phone for years still.
