i'm only one step away from building my app onto an iPad device using XCode, and the only thing in my way is this log which prevents the build:

error: make directory /Users/limitless/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Unity-iPhone-beiggzcimhdpwedpsbfmiowhrzbd/Build/Products/Hexaprot.app/Current/Headers: File exists

I'm literally a newbie with XCode and building on iOS and have since a week ago gotten a long way from blind-guessing my way through getting past all the XCode errors it keeps returning when building my app (among them are also alpha mach-o linker errors). However at this point i think i've hit a wall.

i'm not even sure if once this problem gets a solution i'd have more errors pop up. so if there's anyone who's ever gracious to spare some time to help me with this problem and prolly the additionally unexpected errors this fix might entail, i'd very much appreciate it. thanks

i figured out the problem: it was the search paths getting screwed up by GPG's auto-config. so basically i had all the path strings in quotes and conjoined with spaces, making one long path string. chopping the paths back into the correct string formats took care of this problem. but i guess you were right all along about it being due to xcode not being able to find the file due to reading from the wrong path(s).

Go to Window->Projects then delete derived data.
