    Hey guys,
I'd like to share with you my Realistic Tree Bark texture pack

I have made 11 tree bark types, each tree bark type comes with diffuse, normal and height map. Each texture map is 2048x2048,and tiles seamlessly both horizontally and vertically

I'd be happy to hear your opinions, would you be intrested in buying thoose textures from asset store?

Images below have been rendered in Unity, each tree is a cylinder with Tree Creator Bark Material. Textures are tiled 2x2

    Hej!
For me, they look very believeable. But they're not PBR, am I right? There are too many similar textures IMO. It's great that you pack the highest resolution possible but can you show how do they look like at 1K, 512, 256 ?

    Hej Oskar
Thank you for your critique :)
I dont quite know what do you mean by "There are too many similar textures",
Texture tiles where aquired by the means of photogrammetry, and altough in most of them light was substracted by hand, not by automatic process, as explained by Epic on their Kite video(in fact i never fully utilized that method), I'm sticking to general guidelines (http://peetlee.com/UnityChartsPreview.png) on how much luminosity should albedo have.
Although i was not fully sucesfull in getting rid of every occluded spot on bark

Of course you are right, i should show how theese textures behave in smaller resolution
I will be sure to post previews with smaller texture sizes ASAP

Edit: i have not put any specular or glossines/roughness maps, since tree bark have extremly low specular unless wet or covered in sap

Great. They behave well even in small resolutions! :)

i thought that trees 2,3 and 7,9 are too similar. But my fellow artist doesn't agree with me: the more, the better ;) So yeah, never mind my comment about this.
