    Hey,
I've got a new problem/question. I'm working on a new particle emitter, but i cant find the parameter responsible for scaling particles dependent of the camera distance (I;m not sure if there is a parameter for this;/).

What i get at the moment are particles which have a constant on screen size. They get relatively bigger when i move the camera away.

I already created some other particles and i never had this problem before. Is it a bug or a feature witch I activated by accident?

You can see the situation at the screen below. White water splash is my single particle. Both screens captured at the same moment of time, same particle, different distance from the camera. Compare the size of the white water splash to the size of the leaf.

    Thx in advance:)

Ok i think I've got it working.
The parameter Max particle Size from Particle Renderer is responsible for the % of screen that may be taken by single particle. I can't find it in the Manual, but it has a tooltip when one mouse over it.

    Cya:)

Its really help, it seems you should adjust both start size and Max Particle Size, They'll cooperate with each other, then you can make perfect particle size.

if you don't want the particle to resize depend on the camera distance you can change the Max Particle size value into 2

Hi, all the answers online did not help me, but finally I found the solution:
The thing is: Min Particle Size and May Particle Size Settings will not affect your particles as desired as long as "Billboard Alignment" is set to "view"!

So if you want that your partciles in Unity keep a constant, absolute size (= size of particle in the world, not relative to the camera or viewport), **set Billboard Alignment to "Facing"**.

Also check all the aother parameters shown in the following screenshot, because they may interfere with your particle size if configured the wrong way!

    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,
    Matt

I had a similar issue recently, where UI particles near the edge of the screen were barely visible, only when drifting beyond the UI elements they were aligned to, but in the center were big and bright and visible above the UI. I tried the settings above and they didn't seem to help much - however when I set up a Foreground rendering layer and put the particles into that layer (in Particles->Renderer->Sorting Layer), they appeared correctly. By this I need to assume that near the edges they were being sorted below the UI elements they were aligned to?

am I missing something? if I change the min or Max particle size, it ruins the effect I have

I think you must set in particle system renderer min particle size 0, maximum paricle size 2 and then set your desirable particle size from starting size value. It worked for me.
