Particle system performance in 5.6

    I have an rts with lots of units and using particles for weapons.
    In 5.4 I spawn 1000 particle systems with a rate of 1, everything else default, I get 500 fps when built.
    In 5.6 I get 100 fps with the same settings.

    Anyone know why it's performing so much worse?

    New scene, new particle system with the emission rate changed to 1. Spawn 1000 of them.

    Here is the profiler
    on the left is 5.4.1 taking 0.17 ms
    on the right is 5.6.0f3 taking 3.02 ms



    Any other info you would like me to add?
