Particle flame ball of doom

    Hello all, I've recently begun work on making the ultimate unity explosion! and have been playing around with a few ideas.

    here's a quick video I made of my progress this evening, I'm pretty pleased with the results!

    **Update**
    I've modified the texture a little to give more contrast, at the moment the bulk of the particle effect that makes up the main "body" will end up being for the inital explosion effect... right now it kinda looks like a burning oil well or something.

    P.S. I made the particle textures using procedural maps in 3d studio max.. there is quite a cool technique for getting them to loop which I could write a tutorial for if anyone is interested

    hey, thanks.. I'm going to try and keep this thread up to date with my changes and updates. I got a little inspired by world in conflict so I've been studying real life explosions in slow motion and getting lots of visual resources together. People must think I'm nuts... unfortunately I hadn't found unity when that competition was run, so I guess this is going to be my belated entry once its complete. :)
