I represent a high profile board game manufacturer based in New York City, that recently began development of the board game's digital form. We already employ an extensive team of 3D modelers / sculptors who create assets for 3D printing. What we need is a generalist 3D artist with good knowledge of Unity that will act as a bridge between the 3D art department and the software department, converting high polygon models into game ready assets, producing texture maps, and ideally preparing them for animation by skinning and rigging.

    REQUIRED SKILLS
    • Good knowledge of any 3D modeling program (ideally Maya, 3DS Max or Blender).
    • Efficient and Optimized UV mapping
    • Texturing (Diffuse, Normal Maps, Metallic Maps, Height Maps, Emission Maps)
    • Good understanding of Unity's 3d import pipeline (pivots, axis orientation, scaling, UV channels, texture maps)
    • Willingness to acquire new skills and adapt to the demands of the job post.
    NICE TO KNOW
    • Skinning / Rigging
    • 3D animation
The job is remote only and will vary from part time to full time based on the applicant's skill set. Please send me a PM with your CV/Portfolio and your desired hourly rate.
