[PAID REMOTE] Virtual Cam for macOS

    Introduction

    We are looking for a contractor to develop a macOS virtual webcam for a Unity project that will run on both Intel and Apple silicon.

    Job Description

    We are looking for a freelance temporary contractor to develop a macOS-compatible solution that would allow us to output a given Unity Camera's viewport or RenderTexture as a virtual camera that can then be used as a webcam input by external software, such as OBS or Zoom.

    There is already a github project for this that works on Windows. Basically, we are looking for a macOS equivalent version of the following project:

    We are looking for someone with ...
    • Multiple years experience developing in Unity3D (2018 or later) and C#
    • Multiple years experience developing applications for MacOS
    • Any other relevant experience for the aforementioned project
    • Preferably fluent in English
    • While we are based in Australia, remote workers are welcome
    Who are we?

    My name is Andrew Hingston and I teach at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. For the last few years I have been working with a small team of enthusiastic developers on an education project using Unity. However, we are all Windows developers and don't have very much mac experience. We need some help!
