[PAID] [REMOTE] Art director

Job description

We are looking for someone we can train to manage the art side of our projects.

Higher skill levels will be given consideration, though we are expecting the role to be filled by an art graduate with a fair understanding of the technical requirements involved in producing art for games and interactive experiences.

Eagerness to learn and improve will be an acceptable substitute where skill levels are lower than desired.

Responsibilities

You will be given a target cost and deadline for a task, such as providing the art for a VR experience. This might include storyboarding, concept art, UI design, modelling and animation. It will be up to you to decide how best to achieve this, from sourcing existing art assets, hiring freelancers or completing the work yourself.

The project manager and team will work closely with you to offer support, advice and informal training.

Extra details

• Initially we will pay you by project but with opportunities for salaried employment if things go well.
• Most work is from home although we encourage anyone close to commute into Brighton twice a week for team work days.
