Packing/combining uvs and textures (from multiple models) into one texture map.
Can some one suggest a software to do this? price does not matter at-all.

I would like to have control over the scale of the uv islands, but it would be nice if the rest was automatic ( So i don't have to do a "Jigsaw puzzle")

    Hi worldcrafter.
If you use 3DS MAX I will recommend you give Flatiron a shot www.texturebaking.com.
I have used it myself in a different project and it works great.

Blender has a "texture atlas" addon included: http://cgcookie.com/blender/2014/08/19/using-texture-atlas-addon/

i don't use blender or 3dm. so i used 3dcoat', its uv mapping functionality. it was manual and tedious but got there in the end.
