My experience with Unity 2020.2 has not been stellar so far. One of the many issues I have is that every time I open the project settings window, the following loading bar appears:

    IMG_4986.jpg

I had to take a picture as the box is not captured by regular screenshots. The window appears every 2 seconds and it makes it next to impossible to write in any edit field because focus is lost and edit field is reset.

Anybody else is having the same issue? Any idea on how to fix it?

    Thank you

    I just had this problem...
Maybe this package trying to auto update itself (uncheck box).... and hopefully feel relief like I did:

Hey thank you there, it was exactly that one, I would have never found it!
This looks like a bug, I'll file it when I have a moment, thank you very much for helping it was getting really frustrating!

Tell me about it, I lost a weekend trying to figure it out! I had to screen cap with OBS just to see the error and by then I was just trying everything. You probably noticed this didn't happen on a freshly made project. And that toolchain thing Tues to a Linux dev package so...go to package manager and remove that package! It was auto added by that check box

Out of curiosity, how did you figure out that it was that one setting? I really would have never thought of it, I was checking all possible package manager settings but I completely missed that one (especially because I needed the Linux part for the Server build).
