Hello, is there a way to get an outline effect for the new GUI Text component? I also tried using a Rich Text tag like <o> but that doesn't seem to work...

Add an 'Outline' component to the text GameObject (you can use the 'Add Component' button to search for it. Currently effects are pretty rudimentary, but we will be improving upon them in the future.

Thanks Tim! I agree, it would be logical for this to be integrated into the "normal, bold, etc..." dropdown menu. But it's already nice that the effect exists at all.

It's better for it to be separate instead of part of the text settings, because it works on things besides text (such as images). I discovered that accidentally, that you can add an outline to an image and it will actually outline around the transparent elements properly, so you could have some sort of animated outline around a sprite. It's awesome.

Ah nice! Then it should remain available as a separate component of course. But it might be good to have an equivalent in the "Font Style" menu of the Text component, just for ease of use.
