    Iconia - Map Icon Pack

Hello everyone, I would like to introduce my Icon Pack for developers who are curious to make games.

    What is this?
Iconia is a map icon set for Game Developers. If your intentions are creating RTS or Turn-Based games like Total War, Europa Universalis then you are checking the right place! This is a perfect fit for you.

    Details
Since I'm also a developer on my own, I can predict the upcoming question right now, What does this asset contain?
Well... It contains prefabs, models and scripts. However, since most important ones are the models, let's start with them. 12 different city models ( 4 Ancient Rome Style, 4 Medieval Style and 4
    Modern ) with;
    • Their textures (Albedo and Normal)
    • Their materials (All Unity Standart Shaders)
    • Ready-to-use Prefabs
For prefabs, all material settings are ready to use. All you need to do is just drag the prefab objects to the scene and you are done!
Materials are Unity's default materials. So, if you want to change material settings, you can change them like all other materials.
Also, there is an extra detailed Italy terrain with texture too! Created with TerraHe :)
About scripts, we have 3 different scripts.
MapManager.cs: This is the biggest and might be the most complicated script in the
asset. It has two main parts, City Locations and Prefabs. You are able to set "levels" of your cities with different prefabs. Also, you can set locations of cities on the map. You will be able to see your cities in aged order. Just check the code for more tweaking.
SimpleWeather.cs: This is a really simple script for weather-like-mock simulation. Just
drag cloud, and let our code moves it around the field randomly.
CamMove.cs: This is a really basic code for moving the camera onto a point. Everything is
hardcoded. You can either remove it or use it in your project.

Need Terrain Starter? Have no worry. This asset is best with TerraHe. Get it from here - GET TERRAHE
So what's next? If this asset gets enough interest, I'm planning to add more and more city options. And I'll add them not as a separate asset but as an update of this asset. So If you bought the first edition, you will have those new models as well.

I bought that asset but I didn't get, how am I suppose to use this? Check the documentation in the assets folder. But you still might feel confused. Who knows? In such cases, just email me. I'll try to solve such issues if I'm able to.
I have a request, but It's far different than this, would you like to hear? Absolutely! Just email me or send DM from here. My email is cartridgegamestudio@gmail.com

I'm always open to new suggestions and critisisim. I would be glad to listen! Thanks

    Hello,

I like what you are doing here. I am currently making a kind grand strategy with a 19th century industrialization theme (inspired by the old Imperialism game from 1997). Have you been thinking about adding any city models that might look Victorian? Even 18th century-style cities would probably be suitable enough.

    Hi,

Actually yes. I thought about adding both Eastern versions of all three eras and the other eras(Victorian, Bronze and pre-historic ) to fill the gaps. But unfortunately, time is a bit limited and expanding this could be costly and somewhat unnecessary for some people.
However, I would be glad to help if I can, don't hesitate to P.M. or email me. Maybe we can find a workaround or/and easy solution
