Yes we have had allot of trouble submitting our New York asset this week so have been
unable to start work on the next asset in series.

We have now fixed the errors so will be starting work on Abandoned City this week and will have a small preview in a couple of days :)

Today we have started work on Apocalyptic World Part 3

    This is a modular asset.

The screens bellow have a draw call count off 22 so we are estimating a total draw call count of 100
    on the final asset.

We will be working hard on this asset and trying to get it finished in a week (may take a little bit longer)

Please remember even though it look like it contains a high try count this is mainly done with normal mapping and are low poly models

    Next Update soon.

Looks extraordinary, are the buildings going to have their insides modeled? It would really be awesome if they all did because the project I'm working on would be a thousand times better if you could go into all the buildings. And also, because ive never said this before in this thread at all, <3 your work its f**king awesome.

    Thanks, Glad you like it.

    :) LOL Great comment

Yes there will interiors but the will have to be kept to a minimum on mobile.
This package will also contain a selection of interior props just like we done for part 2

We are thinking of making this more as a Town than a city as we already have apocalyptic city on the asset store.

Ive been having problems with the Abandoned Carnival 1.1

When I delete the Standard Pro Image Effects folder, it crashes Unity 4.2
Fatal Error Could not allocate memory

It does this even in a new project by opening a scene or changing the folder name

I have downloaded the asset from the asset store just as you would have.

i did get errors with the image effects but it did let me delete them and re import the image effects package

The problem you are having may be due to a sharing violation
here are a few things to try

    1. Close unity Open your projects directory and locate the image effects folder and delete it, Re Open unity

    2. Close unity Move your project directory to the desktop Re Open unity and load your project from the desktop and locate the image effects folder and delete it

I will update this project with the latest image effects soon

If you have any problems after trying these solutions send me a PM and i will look into it further

Today we have been focusing on performance on mobile

We want this asset to look great on PC and Mobile Platforms

Below there are 2 images top is mobile, Bottom is PC

The below image Under mobile has performance of the following

    • Draw call = 40 ( This will improve once we batch the textures )
    • Tri Count = 29K
    • VRAM Used = 20mb to 45 mb
    • Built APK Size 18mb

    Mobile Optimized

The bad reviews on AW2 I believe were using the example scene on mobile. And since it's sized for PC and uses pro image effects that no mobile can process.
I would add a mobile example scene as well since a lot of people don't know to shrink it to 250x250 and remove the camera effects for mobile.
It works just fine for me.
Please quit making assets, I'm going broke :p
Guess I'll go buy part 3 now.

    LOL :)

I know but i think people have noticed that the reviews are nuts as i am still getting good sales on part 2 also i have now added an APK on the asset page so people can test it
But as you say probably best to create a mobile Ready Scene for that asset :)

enjoy this asset and don't forget to review :)

    Rundown Docks coming soon

Okay, I'm ready for Rundown Docks.

p.s. I'm using all three packs testing on an HTC Rezound with great performance. I'm getting more drawcalls from UFPS than the three environments combined.
This just may be the best quality:performance I've ever seen on a Droid.

If no one else is going to say it; great job on helping the poor programmers who couldn't draw a stick to save their life.

    Thank you.

We have started work on on the docks and will try and get a preview up over the next couple of days

We have also been testing these packs and we got 60+ FPS on Galaxy S4 mini so i am very happy.

I'll be checking this one out myself, currently using Ruined City to demo things - my concern is colliders, did you end up optimizing and prefabbing fence, wall, buildings, etc...? My game uses a ton of interaction and this is important. Also, have you considered how flow is within your buildings to support navmesh agents moving about?

Looks great man, keep it up.

I'd like to see a bit of "theme" support, same assets but with more of a dusty/dry feel to them instead of having foilage, etc... maybe thats more contract/custom work for you though :).

The only asset in this series that we have had to create mobile collides for is the carnival the other packs use the standard mesh collides and box collides as the mesh is very low poly

we have not tested navmesh with these assets but i feel fine to say that it should work fine.

any rexeturing and remodeling would be done via contract unless we add it to the asset.

I was looking for something modular to create entire shelter levels (mobile), a one room would work as I could link them together with some of the other packs I have. I have the Arteria sci-fi shelter, but it looks more like a space station. I'm looking at Grungifier though, that looks like the ticket for long term extending.

    Yes you are correct

We submitted updates to Rundown city and Abandoned Carnival
and we have submitted new assets

We was not notified by email but all of these updates and assets were declined with no reason given and no email which was very wird
As we did not change any of the asset we just done optimization there is no reason why the updates should be getting declined

This being said Rundown Suburbs performance should have been fix with version 1.1

During the 24 Hour Deals we sold 100+ of rundown suburbs and we have had no one complain about performance.
so i think i will need to work directly with you to get this fixed

If you could email me Contact@tlcindie.co.uk i will try a few more things to get the asset running smooth

I have no performance issues or any issues at all. I just remember the Rundown Suburbs having an update so after installing Windows 8.1 I never downloaded 1.1 and kept checking for 1.2. I did have import issues with 1.0 and Windows 8 but we rendered that a month ago with the release of 1.1 and Unity 4.2.2 seemed to fix the AC problem.

When I say "Unity is slower than molasses on this one", I mean they are slow to accept it.

A road system.. nice. You'll have the market cornered with that alone.

I would love a fallout shelter ;);) but I also have a contract until mid-November so it's no rush... even if it's a separate pack, I would definitely buy it.
I don't really have a need for a jungle yet although the Fantasy Jungle looks amazing, but now that I have my Xbox license, I can't wait to get my hands on the Rustic Environment and check out your AAA graphics. If it's anything like Steampunk : Clockworks I know I won't be disapointed.

Thanks Steampunk : Clockwork was personally my favorite to create even though the others would say Set Builder: New York :)
The Rustic Environment pack is just like that one we want it perfect before release

As for the fallout shelter i will release that as an update to one of the packages
as you own all of them you will get it and not have to pay anymore :)

Will current owners of Rundown Suburbs and Abandoned City Part 3 get any updates when they become available?
