Just playing and checking what's new in Unity 5 but after building Vikings Village demo I noticed something strange. CPU utilization as shown in activity monitor always stays around 40%? Performances are similar when playing in editor (Fantastic settings but with Half Res textures and Low Resolution shadows; i5, 2.5GHz, 10.11.6, 6750 512Mb; Unity 5.4.0f3). Is this normal or some bug in 5.4?
What's strange about this? Would you expect it to be higher, or lower? (It seems pretty reasonable to me, particularly if you are on a dual-core machine and that's a pretty demanding scene.)
In Unity getting 40% utilization is perfectly fine for working with 20-30 fps and not burning machine, but standalone app build should pump it up to 150-200% (60 fps if possible) like Aspyr and Feral ports do?
