[OS X] Unable to select location of Android SDK in Unity browse dialog

I'm attempting to compile for Android but when I attempt to browse to the root folder of the Android SDK, it isn't selectable because it has the .app extension and isn't recognized as a folder. Someone else had the same problem (http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/an...essing-sdk-through-android-studio-app.186821/) but none of the answers worked.

People using OS X (Yosemite) and Android Studio: How do you set the location of the SDK in Unity?
