What OS(excluding linux, ubuntu and other unix like OS and excluding windows server OS) should I use for operating a dedicated server for running the server files for my unity game?

Linux is the best, but, if you dont want to use it, Windows or Mac are fine. Just don't use movile phones or videogame consoles. But, again, I guess you will have your reasons to don't use Linux/Ubuntu/Unix, but I think Linux is way better (Is used on Google Cloud servers).

I think the logical solution is to use linux. I would use Windows, however it lacks the on the ranks and permission side, which linux has an easy permission manager, which is important for me since I have a team to work with and everyone should have access to do certain tasks on the server.

    You can use Google Cloud.
The first server (I think) is free.

What OS should you use for a dedicated server other than the objectively superior OS to use for a dedicated server?
