opening Unity 4 pro hangs on error...

    Hi!

    I just opened Unity 4 pro today and it hangs on an error message that says: Failed to re-activate/update license. Reason: License xml is invalid.

    I haven't done any changes to my Unity settings or Unity files.

    Has someone managed to solve this issue?

    I've had the same problem. It isn't possible to reactivate the software, it looks like a problem with Unity's licensing servers.

    To get round the problem turn off WiFi, or unplug the ethernet cable to your computer so it isn't connected to the internet and restart Unity. Then reconnect to the internet (if required).

    Thank you for your idea!

    Unplugging the ethernet cable let me at least open my unity projects. So I am able to continue my work.

    I still can't open any Unity project when internet access is on, but there seems to be a problem with Unity's licensing servers as you said. Hopefully, they get it solved soon! =)
