So I'm opening an old project back from version 2018 that had 2400 files on it's folder, and after opening it with the beta 2020.1.0.b2 the project folder now has 6800 files.

Opening another one that had 2000 files resulted in the folder now having 6900 files

Can you pin-point what these files are? I guess they're cached files somewhere in the Library folder? What action do you expect from Unity, what's the reason for your post?

Well, that's the question, why importing an old project into a newer version automatically triplicates the project files and size. Is this an expected behavior, or Unity is just generating garbage files in my project folder?
