    Hi,

I must sound like a total nub, but I can't seem to get Unity running on my mac. I installed it and ran it once fine. Then I tried to load a project from my PC via a mounted drive. I guess this wasn't the best idea because Unity crashed. Now it crashes everytime I open it with the error:
I have restarted the computer, deleted the unity files and reinstalled it. How do I fix it?

I found the problem, it was the files were read-only. This was due to using Perforce for version control. It was a strange combination of factors that made this happen, but using chmod to recursively change all the files to be writable solved the problem.

    Solution:
    open terminal
    navigate to project folder
    type: chflags -R nouchg *

This is happening again. Unity is creating, then locking the file, then trying to access it again after having locked itself out of the file. How do you fix this? The file is NOT read only, it happens on new projects, and existing projects. This is happening with Unity 4.5.0.b3 and Unity 5 You can delete the file after a reboot, so it's definitely not there and not locked. Then when Unity opens the project, it creates it, locks it, then tries to access it and pops up the error. What's the fix?

Yeah I've tried everything. I've tried deleting the meta data file that Unity was conflicting with, disabling my antivirus, rebooting my computer, and trying to open up my level directly. No dice. I've tried everything that the internet has told me to do.

I'm having the same issue. Does anyone have a final resolution? Thanks!
