Opening a document window from another static library in unity3d?

    Hi,

There is a c++ library I'm interested in using, which on Mac and Windows, opens a simple document window, which allows you to resize it, and close the window (and of course do stuff inside).

I'm wondering whether there is any way to display this in unity? I'm aware of the c++ static library possibility and have used c++ plugins inside unity before. However, I'm a bit stumped as to whether this is at all possible.

I'm guessing I would do it similar to the following, using a unity editor window:

I'm wondering does this editor window pop up inside the unity 3d world? For instance, if I'm using VR, will it become moveable inside the 3d space?

Many document windows of various software are 2d, whereas unity is 3d. I'm hoping to be able to create a rect or something like it, and inside display the contents of the document window. So, it would be like a 2d window inside a 3d world, where the 2d object could be moved around with the rect etc.

Any idea whether any of this is possible, or any caveats I should be looking at before I embark upon this extraordinarily silly mission?
