You're basing a game off another game, this may have worked for a genre less developed than zombie survival. If you want to be successful you want to be as unique as you can, instead of basing the game off another base the game off what another didn't do.

Also, when the main point of your thread is to recruit people head over to the Collaboration Forum.

Although its based off another game, There will be alot of features added and alot of features taken out. We tried to see what games we liked the most and wanted to merge them together, we shall she how it goes, and it will be very unique!

I think there's too many zombie games on this forum, although it's still a good game, i just think you should create a alien virus or [insert more idea's here].
What i'm saying is try to create something other than a zombie clone, try to create something new. Other than that good luck on the game.;)

All games are based off of other games, and that is what keeps stuff going. Most FPS are based off of CoD, and etc. Minecraft was based off of roblox, and was revolutionary even though it lacked content and graphics.

Also, any chance I can join in on the fun, I am good at JS, and somewhat good at modelling, always trying to learn, and it would be great to have an opportunity as such.

I like the zombie concept and all, nothing wrong with using that, but there's not much to see yet. Just a base model. I'd wait to post more until you have a bit more.

    Hey Ben from JointJointGames,

make a game, have fun learning something new.

I think there were too much upcoming news like "the next slender - just better, longer, more pages" or "the next DayZ, Just with more Zombies, and better" maybe some of you with another account(maybe not)

First rule is - make something you can do - keep in a scope - do what you can. If you can do 3d modelling, do 3d models. If you are good at painting - paint. If you're good at scripting - do scripting. Have you ever done network programming on a shipped project?

If you are just the Idiea guy. Write down a complete idea - not just some "like game A" and "as in game B"
Don't expect anybody to wait for your idea and do your game.

Finish something that can be seen.

Maybe you start a game where you play slender and your objective is not to be seen by the person you follow. This would be something individual.

Keep the scope little for the first project. Try to get a project finished. If you have a referencial done project in your profile history - people will more likely join your idea (or at least trust you, that you are serious)

    but after all
    don't forget to have fun

    Flod
