Open world shooter DOTS sample

    There was an attempt to create a multiplayer oepn world shooter sample project and build the underlying tech with it.
    Can you please share what happend to it with us?

    Clearly there has been something. you either had to shift priorities due to resource allocation or ... or had technical problems which could not be resolved or some other reason for change of direction. Hiding what happened doesn't strike confidence and it matters really because it would count either as some additional points to trust unity on DOTS or not.

    The initial vision that Joachim_Ante and Mike Acton had was great and there was lots of transparency, GDC talks by great guys which went deeply into technical things and now it is replaced by not very transparent and not very often communications.

    Having the current 1.0 DOTS available with a good hybrid workflow is not bad at all but if we don't know what happend in the last two years or so we cannot trust you guys for the next 2-3 which it takes to build most of the DOTS echosystem.

    Clearly in 5 years has been enough time to build the engine so there is something here technically or otherwise which is totally fine if we know what it is. @Joachim_Ante or Mike Acton please do something, some video/AMA/response/whatever with the gret leadership and no BS hardcore approach that you always champion so we can judge based on data and reality or potentially let this go down as is and get much less customers and less ecosystem for it at least until it is much passed 1.0. I'm sure any sort of response is better than what currently PMs are doing with this. We started using DOTS at Entities 0.17 exactly because things started to come together on all fronts. you guys did something in these years. talk about it please.
