KaBoom! Nice Guys, I love the hyperbole describing the game

Took me several tries to get in the top 10, it's tough to keep frantically aiming around trying to predict where the tanks/jeeps are going to be when the rockets hit.

Everything looks great, the only thing that looked a little weird is the tanks sliding around, they move like bumper cars on ice. I guess that might be necessary or their movements would be too predictable and easy to hit.

That rocket launcher sound is very familiar  I used the same one for a demo a while ago.

    Liar

The web offers up all this great stock media, you just need to tweak it a little to make it your own and unrecognizable to other people.

If you don't make the high score, the prompt says:

"Your score was was not in the high score table" (note: double was) - just thought I'd let you know :)

I can see a lot of little fixes in the future.

I didn't get to spend hardly any time fixing the stupid little mistakes, because we figured if we delayed much longer, this thing would never come out.

I get severe lag even on 640x480 with lowest graphics settings.
Awesome part is when it gets below about 5 fps, my guy starts shooting a rockets a lot faster then normal.

I've just been going through some of the Showcase
stuff using the Windows Web Player - great stuff
    in the making.
Open Fire loses it's mouse/aiming cursor in full
    screen mode.
No mouse cursor on start up menu in full screen mode either.
    Windows Xp SP1 / Internet Explorer 6

Excellant fun though - especially in full screen mode - after I'd blown myself up a few times, shooting blind gave an added depth of realism .. :D

    Nice work.

Yeah - that worked on me too.

    I like it :D

    Smoke, fire, all good!

I like the side-firing arrangement, a nice change from the usual bottom-up style.

The guy seems a little big for the tanks, but I can see that you want him big enough to see.

louis, I think y ou were playing the widget contest version.

I wonder if OTEE could have a link to the newer version of Open Fire on the same page as the contest version?

Edit: actually, I don't know what version you were playing, what link did you go to? But my previous request still stands...
