Hey guys, where can I find the official Unity tessellation shaders for Unity 5.0? I've downloaded the Built-in shaders archive (http://unity3d.com/unity/beta/5.0) but they're not in there...

there are none as far as i know. its just their 2 layer parallax occlusion, which while awesome is not up to tessellation. however tessellation does not currently work on OpenGL(they are looking to upgrade there openGL version soon) so it won't work on Mac or Linux. as a result i think we can expect them to wait until the upgrade in 5.x to implement it as it only applies to a portion of there audience. they also don't have refraction in at the moment. i assume this is to make the standard shader work with unity free. hope that helps clear things up!

Could you elaborate on that? Is there anything official? I ask, because I'd really, really love to see the OGL renderer to be brought up to speed with its D3D counterpart. Mostly because I want to offer the same experience, regardless of the platform the player choose.

heres a link to the talk
one of the reasons they have not upgraded sooner is that most macs run on very old OGL versions and as a result wouldn't benefit from new features. however i'm glad they are at least attempting to support it for linux's sake, even if linux has a small user-base. plus that way when mac does finally catch up all the way unity will be ready.
