Here's a brief overview of the QA status on 4.5.

    Test Tasks
    Final testing task tally: 235.
A test task is made for every single item in the release notes. All test tasks are executed by a QA engineer. All have been executed. A test task is anything that is not a bug, those are handled separately.

    Bugs
4.5 contains 1068 bugfixes. It is worth noting that there are no major features in this release, so many of these issues have been fixes from previous releases. The reason we are only mentioning 450 on the web site is because many bugs are cleared out internally before users see them and thus won’t make a release note on it. Internally we track everything.

Most fixes have been in the documentation, WSA (Still Metro in our systems) and 2D.

We also solved a lot of votes from the users in the http://issuetracker.unity3d.com in this release.

From incoming customer bugs we have had a fairly even distribution. That is a good outcome of a release, which doesn’t cause alarm. Internally we had a pass on the documentation, which revealed A LOT of issues, of which some have been fixed for 4.5. Top is overall, bottom is what users have found.

Overall we see 4.5 as a good quality release with a lot of focus on stabilization.

Thanks! Editor, 2D, WSA is just what I'm working on, nice coincidence.

Unity 4.5 still doesn't allow its player to work as an android live wallpaper. Any chances it will be eventually fixed?

I think you're confusing bug fixes with new feature requests.

Otherwise great team Unity. And your QA team was really good on the beta groups, always keeping us in the loop on bug fixes :)

Downloading the update now, looking forward to it. Also, congrats on the release. Hope you've taken the time as a team to have a self congratulatory beverage of your choice!

It's still a feature request, not a bug fix.

Yeah when application, that worked fine with earlier engine versions, now, with newer versions, crashes with error, it is definitely a feature. Sure.
When there are paid plugins on asset store to export LWP projects, that was actually approved by AS management to publish, now doesn't work, it is a feature.

If you're looking for more metrics I'd really like to see a breakdown of the times between issues being submitted and somebody from QA looking at them.
