Just wondering, anyone here like rap music, or does anyone here rap?

Me and my friend got a studio, and we are really into rap.

I love raps. No not rapping but listening to rap music. Rap music in games. Probably for games like GTA? Not going to work for most games though.

Rap is my favourite, I mostly listen to rap and hip hop songs and I don’t rap but I’m trying to become one.

    Can't stand it.

I'll listen to any genre of music except rap. From classical to death metal, rock to progressive house, anything but rap.

I can't stand rap either. You just got some dude talking crap that rhymes.
Then some dodgy beat anyone can come up with in the background.

Although I will say one or two M&M's songs are pretty cool, but he kind of more sings/recites than just raps.

Otherwise some good metal, and progressive house, trance energy is good for me.
And for a game, I think a good variety of music can go far. (One of the background tracks in the game I am busy with is a big booming rap tune :p)

I'd rather listen to those Nature Music where all you hear is waterfalls and leaves blowing than rap...

Not a big fan of it.

    -1 ^^

I must say that rap is much better than death metal. I pretty much would listen to any type of music, from rap, classic hip hop, rock, and r&b. I guess if you don't understand rap, then of course you wouldn't like it... Just like I can not get into death metal or country music, I also grew up listening to classic hip hop, and rock so those are my favorite genres.

When it comes to adding music to a game, then I would say it depends on the game. Maybe something soft and slow, unless you are making a game like GTA or something like that.

    +1 For Rap.

A rapper is to a musician, as a child with an EZ-Bake oven is to a french trained chef.

I'm not sure why one must hold ones privates with one hand, while waving the other hand either. I think it has something to do with the laws of physics and dynamics. I am waiting for someone to start posting his own rap text.

@OP. It can't be off topic if you make the topic :)

I think like all music genres there's good and bad. You can't say you like a whole genre because there's so much variety in each.
There are definately a few standout rap performers that most people seem to like. Vanilla Ice for example :p

I'm not sure if it's classified as Rap, but Kid Cudi is pretty cool.

Yeah, there is rappers that just gets on your nerves but, Vanilla Ice sucked when I was younger, I truly did not like that guy. Also Kid Cudi, is hip-hop, there is a different between hip hop and rap. Now a days people call everything rap, but back in the days there was hip-hop that you use to have pure talent to even get known. Oh yeah, I did like Vanilla Ice in the Ninja Turtles Movie, but that was it. :)

I naturally fell towards metal in my youth, and have stayed that way. I listen to almost everything else too though, besides rap and hip hop.
I think I might have listened to rap, but I feel repulsed by many (not all) people who do listen to rap and don't want to be associated with them. Troublemakers, wiggers, wannabe gangsters, criminals, etc. In my hometown you can be damn sure everyone that should have been tossed at sea indeed does listen to rap and hip hop. There's just so many songs about money, drugs, violence, crime, disrespecting police, etc.
The argument against metal could be that so many bands revolve around songs that has no connection to reality, or give meaning at all (Dragonforce, lol).

I'm all for different kinds of honey for different kinds of bears though!
