Very nice. Does this use only shaders, or a combination of shaders and vertex animation?

Yes I'll post the shader for the community, after I'll add the sun reflection and some modification in the refraction, and underwater.

Looks terrific! How about posting a webplayer demo so that we can check out the speed?

Lovely. :) I was going to ask about adding sun reflection, your scene looked like you were setting it up for it. ;)

Just a funny note. I own C4, Leadwerk etc...3d Engines

So I posted a link to my video on the C4 forum (user lounge section)
    He deleted the whole thread.

    LOL

why are people so negative? There really is no need for it! If they don't like what you have created then that's their opinion, and they are entitled to it.

Eric, author of C4 i've got much respect for him.
His engine have great scene management and advanced real time shadows.

But Never thought he could be so mind closed to his engine !
Caus the sea scene , it's shader based , even C4 engine could do it if you share the shader code :) ??

Anyway , very good work !

I love C4, it is a very solid and stable engine... I guess I was a bit provocative when I posted the link on his forum... after he posted, things went out of control and I think he had to remove the thread.

Unity PRO is expensive, but I think it is more flexible and productive.

Nice one - well done. I've seen a few articles in various Gems books and so on. I'd love to know what you used for reference.

    great work, fantastic job!

how you have solved the direction of the ocean ?
Because, when you have a Island, then the ocean must move the waves around the island. Would be great when this happens automaticly after puting a terrain island. :)

Will this only work in the pro version of Unity, or can indie take advantage of it as well?

Will it cost $$$ or be given away?

    Nice work.

The ocean mesh with the ripples and all will probably work fine while reflections of any kind won't. I tried an earlier version posted here somewhere..

    http://forum.unity3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=17621

.. and even without reflections it looked quite decent.

    OMG that is BEAUTIFUL!

I want a full screen version so I can just sit and watch the waves!

    Keep up the great work.

Imagine with particles at the crest of the waves...

How cpu heavy is the lod wave mesh generation
