When setting up Occlusion Culling the cache can easily grow to 10s of 1000s (sometimes 100s of 1000s) files. I'm assuming the actual culling data is stored with the scene. Why it was designed this way is anyone's guess (why not use just a few files with an offset?).

What objects in the scene contain the culling data?
Apart from (maybe) re-baking performance, what is the advantage (if any) is there in retaining the library occlusion culling cache folder?

I'm just wondering also that! Since I have encountered a considerable problem with this! I completely forgot about that folder that eventually ended up after a few months to 3.5 million files smaller than 1k... Not only did it cause a crash of unity, it slowed down baking . Not to mention how long took me to delete the files
