Objects in Scene disappear when I zoom it

    You can also double click the object in the Scene Hierarchy to get the same effect.

    Which is exactly why I love this thread. :D


    It's so typical "Unity" in its irony.

    People are wildly grateful for the longest (most obscure) workarounds for a problem that should be inherently addressed by the editor / scene-view itself. That is, don't rely on the bounding box (and whatever other scale voodoo) to keep stuff visible.

    8 years this problem has existed. There are better ways.

    OMG this was driving me crazy. Pressing Shift + F did the trick. Thanks for the advice.

    It seems that zooming in is perfectly fine until you zoom out enough for everything to disappear, then zooming in becomes a problem

    zero of the fixes suggested by others here work, Unity is just permanently unusable

    simply reset the layout.

    Window>Layout>Default

    "Select the object you want to work on, and press F. This focusses the screen on the object you selected."

    Thanks a lot mate, you saved me days of debugging! Even in 2021 I'm still having this issue. It feels more like a bug than a feature, I wonder why it hasn't been fixed yet.

    What's amazing to me is that this is so many people's _first_ post on the Unity forums -- but it appears to also be some people's only post on these forums. :(
