A quick glance at the gameworks twitter feed shows that nvidia have quite a close relationship with Epic. I think they even announced a new graphics card at an UE4 event once. The way the source code for UE4 is available might also influence their decision. Because the UE4 versions of GameWorks stuff are usually not trivial to implement, require engine source code modification, so dont work with the standard UE4 downloads, you have to compile the engine from source. And there is no official version where multiple different GameWorks technologies are all rolled into the same code, its left to members of the community to share versions of engine source where multiple nvidia elements are merged together. There can also be quite long delays in making these things available when a new version of UE4 comes out. They certainly arent 'first class citizens' in the UE4 world, support is pretty limited, and delays in versions coming out can vary by quite huge amounts of time, with few clues as to when a particular tech might be updated.

Having said that, nvidia FleX is supposed to be 'coming soon' to Unity, but they have said 'coming soon' since GDC, with no indication of when this 'soon' might actually be.

Some other aspects of GameWorks, eg VR-related features/performance might have made it into Unity in some form, I dont keep up with this side of things enough to be able to say for sure.

Yes I already own that asset it was a nice attempt but its based on older FleX version, and it also has performance issues (compared to UE4 version). Nvidia official version should overcome these issues.

I would love to see Flow in Unity, since my big development obsession is these kind of fluid sims, but there is no sign of that happening.

Also, the author of uFlex stopped developing it when they heard about nvidia doing their own Unity version.

    Where did it go? :(

Spotted it yesterday on the asset store, was going to have a play with it today but it's been taken down?

Oh thats just typical. I had already grabbed it, but it is indeed marked as deprecated now. No idea what the story behind this saddening turn of events is.

The sample scenes are still deprecated. Can someone re-upload them?
