    Hi

I have installed unity free version years ago, but there were so many restrictions I gave up on it.

Now I have downloaded unity 5 personal version, people say it is now full package for free, there are shadows added, I can use it for commercial use without license restriction, if I earn certain amount of income I have to pay something but until then it's unlimited and free.

Is that correct? Because if there is hidden restriction, I wanna look for other engine which has monthly pay options or cheaper.

It's the same restriction as Unity Free used to be, ie >100k income, you upgrade to pro. I know it's hard to believe. Someone at Unity HQ worked too hard and flipped the button which gives everyone all the things.

Yeah, the only restrictions on the free version now is having to use the Unity splash screen instead of your own, and not being able to use the dark editor color scheme in the free version. And like hippocoder said, if your company earned $100k last year, you have to buy the full version.

Wow it's amazing. 1500 bucks for 100,000 is nothing I guess.
My inner insecure self keeps asking 'is it for real?'

    thx for replies, guys
