Wow. I finally wanted to try and use some external API's like Google APIs. And guess what, they require 4.5 .NET . I'm sometimes disappointed at this engine, what are you doing not supporting 4.5 ?

This has been discussed here quite a bit, but in a nutshell - Unity uses Mono. For various architectural reasons they have stayed on an older version of it for quite some time while they put infrastructure in place to allow easily upgrading to later versions of Mono.

Yes, it does. And if you look at the roadmap, a .NET profile upgrade is still in the "research" phase, so don't expect it any time soon. Unity is the only Mono/.NET game engine that doesn't support .NET 4.5+.

I'm honestly disappointed at this engine. I don't know if anyone will care about me saying this but i'm gonna say it anyways.
