Not receiving remote notifications in iOS with unity 5.0.1?

Hi

I've successfully registered for push notifications, submitted them to the server and set sending up.
I am able to send push notifications from my server and have them show up on my iPad device (this means that they are received).
However, I don't see them in Unity.

I checked two things :
1) Printing UnityEngine.iOS.NotificationServices.remoteNotificationsCount. Its always 0
2) Putting a breakpoint in XCode in UnityAppController.mm::applicationDidReceiveRemoteNotification. The breakpoint is never hit (the breakpoint of registering for remote with token works, so the setup is ok).

Am I missing something? Is this a bug in unity 5.0.1? What can I do to debug this?

 

same happens to me.

It works if the app is closed and launched from a push. It will hit the if with uiapplicationlaunchoptionsremotenotificationkey in didFinishLaunchingWithOptions and call UnitySendRemoteNotification but if the app is in background and is started from a push applicationDidReceiveRemoteNotification is never called.

 

The main scenario that I need to work is when the app is active / in foreground. Does anyone know if there is a hidden flag required for this?

 

I have a bugfix / workaround :

By modifying UnityAppController.mm and adding the full version of the function :
application:didReceiveRemoteNotification:fetchCompletionHandler:

As described here:

I get the notification (both breakpoint and in the app)

For now I will manually duplicate this and add the 3rd parameter, but is this a bug in unity?
