Normal map looks like wet

    Hello,

    Whenever I use normal maps in Unity, I get a strange effet. Indeed the map makes all the reliefs look like wet.
    Theses pictures show what I mean:

    I do not think this is normal. Do you have any lead that you avoid this effect ?

    You need to use other maps to control how light behaves on the surface. Normal's are just one part of the puzzle.

    Hey, thanks for your answer. But I do use roughness maps.

    Try to tweak the roughness, to better understand what it does play with a slider
