noob question apologies in advance

I downloaded this package, try to import it but it's not appearing anywhere.

There should be a Unity scene to open. A project can have lots of scenes. Check the editor basics in the Learn section.

 

Ok, well it looks like a simple HTTP download. Move it from your downloads folder to your desktop and unzip. Then run Unity. It should show up in the list of projects.

It also might be wise to swing by the 'Learn' section and complete several tutorials. Things like this are covered there along with many tips and tricks to help you along the way.
