no single quote in MonoDevelop

    In MonoDevelop my single/double quote key isn't working. It works just fine in all other applications, only in MonoDevelop it isn't recogniced. And that is a problem for this very important keyboard button.

    Anyone know how I can solve this?

    Hmmm strange problem. What operating system do you use, and what unity version?

    I use Windows 7 Home Premium
    and
    Unity Version 5.0.2f1 (0b02744d4013) Personal
    Mon, 11 May 2015 16:50:38 GMT
    Branch: 5.0/release
    and
    MonoDevelop-Unity
    Version 4.0.1

    Strange thing is I can use quotes in for instance Notepad or Word but when I alt+tab to MonoDevelop the key doesn't work.

    As a work around I guess you could copy and paste it from notepad.

    Luckily I found the answer elsewhere.
    I changed my keyboard settings from VS international to vs. And now it works fine.
