I'm working on creating player settings in a UI to adjust quality settings for lower, mid, high-end machines. The built-in renderer made it easy, but in HDRP, they're all missing. The documentation says to create your own levels, but there's hundreds of granular settings in the HDRP pipeline asset and it's difficult to know what's balanced. Has anyone else dealt with this situation?

I wish Unity had just given the predefined profiles :(

HDRP does have pre-defind profiles under Quality Settings, just like built-in, you just have to learn more about the editor, settings and set up of HDRP.

Yes, we don't provide pre-defined settings for now.
You can learn about the different settings here:
    https://forum.unity.com/threads/fin...-getting-started-settings-new-feature.833056/

We aim at improving the UX to get inheritance between HDRP settings as, as you mention, there is a lot of them. But it will only be in 2021 cycle.

We learn that providing "correct" settings is not possible as every projects have differents need an none of the default settings we provide will met users need. We instead plan to provide group of predefined per "scenario".
