No more web player support in chrome and firefox

    Agreed. Even UT doesn't support it anymore. It's a shame that WebGL still isn't mature enough to take its place though.

    You're better off ignoring roadmaps and only paying attention to release notes. At least that's my opinion based off of the "success" that is Unity's own roadmap at telling me accurately which features are and are not coming. ;)

    WebGL is a good alternative today. You just have to careful with memory, but that's just because browsers won't let it allocate more than a certain amount - not a WebGL problem.

    It supports all the post processing stack effects and realtime lighting/shadows, and now linear color space. What more do you need?
