    Hello,

so I have a little unusual Use-case for Analytics. I am developing a Product for a Customer ( Platform: HTC Vive) that should be used on a fair for about a week. I wants to track down how Users behave, where Problems occur and so on. So using Unity Analytics would mean a huge benefit for me.

So far I see two big Problems:

    1. It is not sure if there is a persistent Internet Connection. I have read that Analytics caches the Data if there is no Connection. But is this possible over a whole Week?

    2. There will be only one Device at the fair. What I have read about Analytics is that it uses some kind of unique User ID to track, and handle, the data. Would Analytics be able to distinguish between the different sessions or is there any way to achieve this? Or will it just track that one devices data and interpret it as one single user?

I really hope there is a way how I´ll be able to use Analytics for this Project.

    Regards

    1. The Analytics events can be cached for up to 30 days. However, if the events are cached for more than two days, then the count will be added to the day they're sent to the server instead of the day they're triggered.

    2. Unfortunately, the User ID is attached to the device so if you are just using one Vive, then all events will be sent with the same User ID :( If you are simply looking to track how many sessions occurred during the duration of the fair, you could send a custom event at the beginning of each game and see how many times that event was triggered. However, without the ability to have unique User ID's for each session, you won't be able to track user behavior for each session.
