No icon for Plastic SCM on top right 2021.1

    Hi,

    So I just recently upgraded my collab project to Plastic SCM and on my laptop, the collab icon was replaced with the Plastic SCM icon but on my desktop, this didn't happen. I did get a warning in the console but I can't remember what it said.

    This happened in version 2021.1.19.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi! Sorry for the inconvenience, can you share if even after restarting the Unity editor the icon is still not there?

    Yes, it is still not there no matter what. How do I fix it.

    It sucks that there has been a reply 20 days ago and it still hasn't been answered. Trust me when I say this, he is not the only person with these issues, tons of developers scour the forums to find answers. It would be helpful is someone from unity actual monitored the threads and answered the questions.

    Sorry for the lack of communication on this thread!

    If the icon is not present, I suspect this means that either:
    • The Editor version you are on is not in the list of supported versions.
    • The Version Control package is not installed in the project (or is not on the latest version).
    • There is an error in one of the loaded packages that is causing the Version Control package not to load (a message will be presented in the console on Editor startup).
    Unfortunately, the OPs Unity version is not on the list. Please update to 2021.1.25f1 or later to use the Version Control package.

    Hi

    Sorry for the late response, from what I can remember, after posting about this it automatically fixed itself after either restarting the project or restarting my computer. Other than that, it wasn't a big deal as Plastic worked regardless but worked great for the project

    If you are still having this issue either restart your project or restart your PC, after posting this and restarting my PC it was working.

    Yeah, it appears to still be broken for me. However, I was able to do Window/Plastic SCM and I'm starting to set things up.

    why did you guys have to get rid of collaborate?!!! It if ain't broke don't fix is for crying out loud. Plastic SCM is a DISASTER! L!
