Just giving a small update. The new character skeleton is done and the IKs are working perfectly inside Unity.
I'll be working on completely new animations and new parkour and takedown animations.
You can expect the new animation system to be much more realistic. It will also allow us to save many animations by re-using them in both prespectives while also allowing us to have full body shadows in first person prespective.

    -------------------------------------------

Here's a screenshot of the character shadows in first person prespective.
I'm currently making every animation again, and i'm also fixing the weapons size (the weapons were too big).

I agree at 5:54 in Dlg No Heroes Gamplay 4 I thought the acog scope on the rifle was way to big for the gun but overall your all's game look fantastic. Really great job guys keep it up.

Great job, I've been following this on youtube and facebook since a long time. I hope that it will be accepted in Steam and be Free-To-Play and even if you guys want to make money out of this game please don't make it Pay-To-Win.

You know COD and CS aren't the first FPS to come out and don't feature parkour right?

For a while, all FPSs were considered "Doom clones". Hopefully one day, people will stop calling all FPSs with even a slight focus on "realism" COD clones.

These days any game is a copy of any of the following :
    - minecraft
    - WoW
    - CoD

Why ? Because that is all that the new generation knows :) It is ironic that even though they have access to so many games.. this is all they know and appreciate, while old players are avid to experience new games.

    A shame really.

    Hello everyone!

Here's an image of the player running and reloading.

Here's what you can expect from the next update of No Heroes (new video update will be released later this month):

    - New character skeleton made from scratch for 3rd and 1st person characters, with this new skeleton we will be able to save many animations by re-using them in both prespectives and the overall animations will look better,
    - Completely new and better animations,
    - Brutal takedown system (no guarantee to be in the next update),
    - Shadows for the character in first person prespective,
    - Character movement will feel more realistic,
    - Weapon movement will feel more realistic and responsive,
    - Seamless transitions between animations and parkour/free running animations,
    - New subdle bullet tracer effect,
    - Improved gameplay,
    - Fixed many bugs and sound bugs,
    - More code optimizations.

What are you most excited to see from the list above?

To be honest, I was hoping for some faster movement or new parkour moves. It's touted as one of the top features, but in gameplay you hardly ever use it, and when you do, it's not different then what you can do in COD. :)

Yes, maybe you can't move much faster without being unrealistic, but then again, parkour on a battlefield and shrugging off 4 rounds to the face are unrealistic too.

Giving you guys an update on the next update.

First of all, here's an image of the player jumping over an obstacle.

Almost all animations are done for the character and i'm currently improving the network player's movement.
The hit detection and ragdolls will also be improved.
I'll hopefully have the takedown system partially done for the next update.
You can expect the next video update to be released this month and you can also expect the gameplay will feel very different from previous gameplay videos.

This is the new section of the island the next update and gameplay videos will take place.

No more cheap transition when jumping over obstacles, the network player's movement is much more realistic, many new animations were added and i also added a new feature, the wall jump.

We are also thinking about streaming some matches sometime after the update. What do you think? Would you watch it?

    Hello guys!

Here're some more updates before the big video update:

    - I've been remaking all menus in the game, improving their functionality and making them more visually appealing.
    - Team deathmatch and deathmatch are now functional.
    - Matches now end and all players are brought back to the game's lobby.
    - Improved hit detection and player movement.
    - Added more detail on the island,
    - Many bugs fixed.

Unfortunately, the takedown system probably won't be featured in the next update. It will be the main feature of the update after the next one.

Luís is also going to be showing the progress he has been making on the prison map soon.

The next video update will most likely be released this weekend.

    Hello everyone!

I have something to show today that many people have been asking for.
I'm currently working on a new shader for big buildings/structures to break the texture tiling. It's still a work in progress but the changes are very noticible.
I'm also working on improving the net code and making many optimizations on the map and scripts.

On another news, we are looking for a new member to join us and create all characters in the game, for more information:

And on another news, this thread has surpassed 100k views! Thats incredible!

I've been making some improvements on the shader.
    Here's a more noticible comparison.

Scope effect has been improved and fixed accuracy of weapons when aiming , it's now also easier to get kills with snipers due to improved scope effect and accuracy fixes (It was almost impossible).
I've also been heavily working on optimizations, being able to reduce memory usage by 1/3, improving scene objects performance, improving scripts and net code performance.
All of this improved greatly the game's performance by more than 20%.

    Yes, yes it is :)

Destruction will be in the game, being able to go through buildings and possibly take them down.
It's still very early WIP, but the destruction is already functional. With time the destruction system will become more complex.
Note that not everything in the maps will be destructible.

Here's an update of the destruction system in No Heroes.

Added particles and debris. The amount of particles, debris and physics will depend on the settings you choose to improve performance.
Also fixed some bugs and improved the looks of the destruction.
    More things will be added.
I might make a video showing how it looks in real time in the near future.

The alpha will be released later this year, the full game doesn't have a release yet.

@taichiu727magnus have you added a directional light? Without one the light will come in at equal measures form all directions, giving everything a flat appearance. Another possibility is that you have set ambient light to a high intensity, this will drown the shades of colour in a bright direction-less light.

Thanks, glad you guys like it :)

It's a different material with the color a little toned down.

Thanks, that's awesome that you have been following us for so long :)

I didn't use any pack. I created the destruction from the ground up without any other scripts.

I've been working on optimizing the game again and changing many things in the island.
I'm happy to say that i've improved the performance by around 180%, getting an average of 150-180 fps inside the Unity editor on my pc.
We should be making a new video soon :)
I'm also working on the destruction system, improving its performance and making it unique.

    Thanks for the coments

    Here's a big new feature!
No Heroes will feature a dynamic weather system and a day/night cycle system. players will have to adapt to the changes that will happen during the matches.
There are alot of things to tweak and work on (like the tree glitch), but it's already looking good.
Hope you like this new feature

Here's a screenshot during a thunderstorm, needless to say that this is WIP.
The admin can set up what tipe of weather the game will have and the time of day it will start. In addition, the admin can set the probabilities of certain weather conditions. If you don't want the weather or time to change, you can also set it to static so nothing changes.
I'll also work on a new shader for the weapons to give them much more detail and a more realistic look.

The website is down because of the excessive amount of traffic. It should be online soon.
A new video update should be released next week! We have alot of things to show you

Again, thank you all of the kind words :)
