I press the generate button, but the progress of the generation does not move! I waited 10 hours but nothing happened. what is the problem?

Can you post an image of the settings you used?

When generating an SDF font asset using SDF 16 or 32, the size of the padding can greatly affect the time it takes to generate the font asset.

If you are unsure about the settings you uses, sometimes it helps to use Smooth (bitmap mode) which is much faster to verify the settings.

After setting this plugin in the editor section, I returned the value back. Is this a problem?

Do you get any errors in the Unity console?

What Arial font file is this? Did you import this font file or did you select the one included in Unity?

Try some other font file please.

    Kind of strange.

What version of Unity and TextMesh Pro are you using?

I would suggest deleting the package cache and then creating a new project (for testing) and then installing this same package or version 1.3.0 and checking if you still get the same behavior.

Make sure you install the TMP Essentials before trying to generate a font asset.

The package cache is located on windows in AppData/Local/Unity/cache. The location on OSX is different. I normally delete the whole cache when I do that.

Let me know if you still have the same behavior after doing this.

Again I am assuming you are not getting any warnings or errors in the console that would provide any other clues as to why you are having this issue.

For Unity 2018.1 and up, the latest releases of TMP are available via the Unity Package Manager located in the "Window - Package Manager" menu.

Since you were / are using version 1.2.4 of TextMesh Pro, I presume your project was created in Unity 2018.1 or 2018.2. Correct?

I installed the new version of Unity. 2018.3 / Installed asset 1.3. But the problem remained. When you click the generation, nothing happens! What is the problem?

I can create everything in a new project and then transfer it to my ?? So will it work? Will all languages support so ?? You would make 1 standard font in a new update that works with all languages. so it would be easier for many I think)))

This should be working so I don't know exactly why it is behaving this way in your project.

As per your subsequent post, this is working as expected in a new project but not in your existing project. Correct?

In your existing project, can you try the Character Set "ASCII" or "Extended ASCII" option to see if you get the same behavior?

The Font Asset Creator is not language specific, provided the characters you are trying to add to the font asset exist, they will be added.
