I'm trying to set up a point light to cast a pattern on a room, similar to a disco ball (but not a "disco ball"), but it seems impossible.

When I try to set a cookie for a point light, I'm kicked out of the selector and nothing is set. If I change to spot light, I can set a cookie, just fine.

I've done a search and the only time I see cookies and point lights mentioned, seems to be in <Unity3.0.

I'm assuming it was taken out due to some with the deferred light renderer in U3.0.

My question is, is there any way of doing this in 3.0 without something as silly as 4 spot lights?

Point light cookies must be in the form of a skymap. A regular texture won't do it.

    You use a cube map.
