I was watching a playthrough/review of the newest Infamous

With the advanced in graphics and tech...why do they not blink during cut scenes?

The whole no blinking thing to me makes it look less real.

Is there any reason why they don't make their people blink?

Laziness, sloppiness, focusing elsewhere, performance, rig or code not set up to support it... take your pick, or come up with another theory. ;)

In truth there's no reason (theoretically) to not do this, or not have full facial animation, or not use 150,000-poly characters, or any number of things, but in practice, there's a lot of variables to look at, and either this was seen as something to be sacrificed in order to support something else, it wasn;t deemed important, or it simply fell through the cracks.

None at all? I am surprised on a flagship game.

Often eyes add a massive amount of complexity to a model and rig - usually with a reverse pay off (the more details you add, the closer it comes to playing in the uncanny valley). Eyes being the windows to the soul and all that usually means expense, which when you consider your flying around a city, maybe is one that was seen as too much.
