Bug No AutoComplete in any IDE, VSC not even showing as option

So I'm usually using VSC. However, I got the typical AutoCompletion problems that many people have. When I check my preferences, VSC isn't even available as an option for some reason anymore. When I try to select Visual Studio (normal), it doesn't open anything either in the IDE. It just says "Project unloaded" and there aren't any files.

Weird thing: It only happens in 2D projects??? In every 3D project, it works perfectly fine. What bug does the engine this time that I will be blamed for? Or do I have to switch to Unreal for making simple 2D Android games??

Edit: It works with the latest 2021 LTS. I was using the 2022.3.4f1 LTS when it didn't work.
Good F***ing job for once again releasing a "LTS" version that doesn't work properly.

 

This may help you with intellisense and possibly other Visual Studio integration problems:

Sometimes the fix is as simple as doing Assets -> Open C# Project from Unity. Other times it requires more.

Other times it requires you also nuke the userprefs and .vsconfig and other crufty low-value high-hassle files that Visual Studio tends to slowly damage over time, then try the above trick.

Also, try update the VSCode package inside of Unity: Window -> Package Manager -> Search for Visual Studio Code Editor -> Press the Update button
