While porting our game to Android, we've discovered something weird was going on. As if there was no anisotropic filtering at all, at least on our Samsung devices.

Anyone else has the same experience?

Did you ever manage to fix this? I'm stumbling on the same problem, and can't find any other documentation on it..

    Using a Galaxy S 2..

I'm currently on the hunt for this problem, and I'll post updates here..

Except for sending emails to people, posting a question on unity answers, I also tried a couple of 3d race games on our Galaxy S 2 and S 1 devices, most of them appear to do have Anisotropic filtering (no way to confirm obviously)..

Next step for me will be to try some games made with Unity, (race games, shooters, or others with a lot of depth) to see if they use anisotropic filtering. When / If I do spot one, I will be contacting the maker.

Also, I'll be trying to get my hands on a Non Samsung device, for testing purposes...

If anyone with an android device could just test it out, it'll take 3 minutes of your time, and will help me pinpoint the problem :)

    Thanks in advance everyone! :)

I have the same problem here. My game looks nice on a HTC desire, and awfull on a Google nexus S. It looks like the mipmaps are blurred to much on this device. Turning of mipmaps looks less blurred but you get AA problems in the distance.

So it looks like a bug on this particular device?
