Question Nintendo Switch support

    Is Nintendo Switch supported?

    If yes, what versions of Unity / Nintendo SDK do we need to use.

    If no, are there plans to support it and is there an alternative?

    On 2021.1 we get multiple errors when downloading the analytics package with platform set to Switch.

    Hey @Paprik , I'll look into what we support for you.
    In the meanwhile, can you let me know if you're using the Legacy Analytics suite (enabled from inside the editor) or the new UGS Analytics suite (which would involve a package being installed)

    If the latter, let me know which version you're using too!

    So it looks like the new UGS Analytics (currently in Open Beta, opt in from the Unity Dashboard) supports all platforms that Unity can build to. If you're having issues with that, follow up with details and we can get some eyes on the problem you're having.

    The Legacy Analytics platform only supports the following:
    iOS, Android, Tizen, Universal Windows Platform, Mac & PC & Linux Standalone, WebGL 5.3 integration and onwards

    Hi, we are using Unity 2021.2.7 and new UGS Analytics (2.0.7-pre.7). I am getting this error on Switch platform.
    Desktop platform works fine. Same problem is in Unity 2021.1.17f1 and probably in other versions as well. Any idea how to make new analytics work on Switch platform? Thanks in advance.

    I will pass this information on to our engineering team so we can get more eyes on this.

    As soon as I get more info I will be sure to update here.
    In the meantime I would suggest what a fellow user has tried here

    Please let us know if this helps so we can document and fix future issues

    Hi,

    that didn't work for me. The issue is in brand new project as well so I don't think "Reset packages to default" can help. Beside that it is for old Analytics.
    And the last post mentions ""com.unity.modules.unityanalytics": "1.0.0"," but I already have it in manifest file.

    I will sit tide and wait for your update. Thx! :)

    Little update, currently the team is working on a fix for this. I will update you once that release is live. Unfortunately I do not have an ETA on this release.
